Congress Must Demand Saeed Abedini Be Freed

While Congress is adjourned for the mid-term elections, their staff are still answering the phones. They are there to take your calls to pass them on to your Congressperson in the House & Senate. First and foremost, they need to put pressure on the Iranian government to release American Christian Pastor Saeed Abedini. He is still being held in prison, and now Iran is even putting ISIS members who have broken Iranian laws in the same section of prison Saeed is in. We also ask that you all keep him in your prayers. So far, the Lord has been protecting him as He did Daniel when he was put in the lions den.

There are 352 House bills sitting on Senator Harry Reid's desk awaiting action that he refuses to bring up for votes in the Senate. Many have had overwhelming bipartisan support, with 55 of them introduced by Democrats Ghouse members. So please call your US Senator and demand they allow those bills be allowed to come up for votes. Among the many bills are HR7 which denies public funding for abortions.

Other bills that need to be passed are HR176 which would stop government funding of free cell phones and service for low income citizens. this is not a benefit that improves anyone's life, nor is it necessary. It is an abuse of power by the Obama administration which they use to rile up the masses to protest and to vote.

HR342 is a bill that would defend military soldiers and pastors right to pray and preach according to the dictates of their religion. As it is, the Pentagon is allowing for Muslims to do so, but they are interfering with the rights of Christians in many sectors of the military.

Tell them to pass HR140 which would change the current law that allows US citizenship to anchor babies. HR140 would require that at least one parent already be a US citizen.

We also ask that you demand your US Senator reject any treaty that would weaken our 2nd amendment rights, reduce your water rights on your own land, or any treaties that would place US citizens under the control of UN criminal courts.

Above all, please remember that the upcoming mid-term elections are coming up on November 4th, and it is of utmost importance that you vote. Should the Republicans gain control of the Senate, they promise to immediately pass the 352 bills sitting on the desk of Harry Reid which have already been passed by the US House.

Times Are New, Yet They Are The same

Many Christians are unaware of the fact that it was the Great Awakening of the 18th century that brought about a climate which made the American Revolution possible. The message that, “Ye must be born again”, resonated resonated with Colonists, making them realize that it was not church membership, but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that made you a Christian.

After a couple generations of this mindset, the Colonists came to realize that political power did not reside in the hands of the English monarch, but rather in their own desire will for self-governance. As evidence, I offer you these words from the Declaration of Independence,

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness"

When the colonialists heard of a rumor that King George was planning to establish the Church of England as the official religion over the colonies by outlawing other religious denominations, the clergy began riling up the colonialists with sermons that sounded more like political speeches.

Thanks to the Great Awakening, the colonists were uniting under Christ when King George began tightening his grip by stripping them of their liberty. Their response was to become united against him. Instead of being 13 very divided entities, they became one nation under God.

Today, history is repeating itself, as we are again being forced to accept things we know God is against. It is time for the clergy in American pulpits to speak out against this outrage, and awaken the sheep by calling them to take a stand and fight for Christ at the ballot box. If they remain silent, because of a tax write off, then our slavery should be upon their conscience.

“When I took charge in ‘33, A nations faith was mine,” said he
“I promised them this and I promised them that, And I calmed them down with a fireside chat.
I spent their money on fishing trips, And fished from the decks of their battleships.
I gave them jobs in the WPA, Then raised their taxes and took it away.
I raised their wages and closed their shops, I killed their pigs and buried their crops
I double-crossed both old and young, And still the folks my praises sung.
I brought back beer, and what do you think? I taxed it so high they couldn’t drink.
I furnished ‘em money with Government loans, When they missed a payment I took their homes.

With the AAA and the NLB, The WPA and the CCC.
With these many units I got their goats, And still I crammed it down their throats.
My workers worked with the speed of snails, While the taxpayers chewed their fingernails.
When the organization needed dough, I closed their plants with the CIO.
I ruined jobs, I ruined health, And I put the screws on the rich man’s wealth.
And some who couldn’t stand the gaff, Would call on me and how I’d laugh.
When they got too strong on certain things, I’d pack and head for “Ole Warm Springs.”
I ruined their country, their homes and then, I placed the blame on “Nine Old Men.”
Now Franklin talked both long and loud, And the devil stood and his head he bowed.
At last he said: “Lets make it clear, You’ll have to move, you can’t stay here
For once you mingle with this mob, I’ll have to find myself a job.”
