Self Control Of Your Spiritual City Proverbs 25:28

The city is a big concept in Scripture. It’s cast in a somewhat negative light before the flood, but afterward is pictured as much more promising for human flourishing, culminating in the heavenly city of Revelations. The city of Jerusalem was most significant for God’s people because God himself dwelled there. More than that, God personally built and protected Jerusalem, until his people rejected him and were exiled, and the city was destroyed. The implication of the metaphor if this Proverb is not just people are cities but more specifically God’s people are God’s city.

We can say the metaphor expands to say self-control is a city wall. “Self-control” is a paraphrase of the Hebrew, which says something like “restraint of spirit”. Implicit even in this expression, then, is the idea that the spirit has a structure. And apparently that structure can be damaged, which is distinctly a bad thing. Put conversely, whoever lacks control over his spirit—whose spirit is damaged and left in disrepair—is as good as ruined. The one without an intact spirit is already “broken into” and left as exposed as he was found.

Can Ignorance Save A Sinner? Proverb 24:12

Peter tells us that we should always be ready with a response to any question about the reason for our faith. 1 Peter 3:15. Thus the reason Paul told Timothy to be diligent in his studies to rightly divide the truth 2 Timothy 2:15, because many will come and give false answers just to satisfy the itchy ears of the lost. 2 Timothy 4:1-5. So it is up to us to be prepared to help the lost find the way.

If you desire to share the Gospel, and you should, then be sure you are prepared to answer the questions that will come your way. If you cannot properly respond to a persons questions, then don't wing it. Be honest and tell them you will find the answer and get back to them. Most heresy begins with individuals who share the Word, but do not know the Word.

Probably the most asked question I get while sharing the Gospel is,
"What about those who lived in parts of the world where the Gospel was never shared?
How can they be condemned to hell if they never knew the truth?"

To Drink Or Not To Drink; Proverb 20:1

Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler,
and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.
Proverb 20:1 (NKJV)
Allow me to begin my commentary by stating that it is my belief that God does condone drinking alcoholic beverages. However, as with everything in life, moderation is the key.

For those who claim God is against drinking I would like to refer you to the wedding where Jesus performed His first miracle by changing the water into wine in John 2:1-12. My point of emphasis in the account is the part where the master of the feast tasted the wine Jesus had created from water;
When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, "Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!" John 2:9-10

To Reach or To Repel, Proverb 15:1

Hostility seems to be a hallmark of this church age in a similar way that political correctness is to the world. It is alright for us to be righteously indignant as long as we do not sin. There is a place for righteous indignation, but God does not permit much anger because it is difficult not to sin when angry. That kind of anger is a "mark of the beast."

Frequently, hostility is simply a denial of reality. People do not have tempers born in them; angry tempers begin to be created in childhood. Parents allow tempers to burst forth, and each time it happens, it becomes easier—and the next time and the next and on and on until it is ingrained in the personality.

Every Knee Shall Bow, Proverb 14:19

Let me begin by asking that prayers be said for all those shot in Virginia, and their families.

Lord our Father, we live in an evil world, and many lost individuals who know you not can be led astray by those who lead them into false conclusions with by their lies and innuendos. Many powerful people in America today are more willing to lead this nation down a path of poverty and destruction, than to allow their political enemies a chance at bringing peace and prosperity to the lives of the people.

Spare The Rod - Spoil The Child, Proverb 13:24

We love the gospel of grace when we come to God with our sins. None of us wants justice in the sense of God giving us what we deserve. But as much as we love His mercy when applied to us, we have a difficult time applying the same mercy to others. The Scriptures tells us that if we spare the rod, we will spoil the child, but many Christians forget God's grace while administering the child's punishment in our anger at them. The closer the relationship, the more betrayed and frustrated we feel. One needs to know that the messages we send our children while punishing them is one of discipline, not anger.

Lying Lips, Proverb 12:22

Today's commentary is on Proverb 12:22.
Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD,
But those who deal truthfully are His delight.
What does the Bible say about lying? A lying tongue is not only something God hates, it is also something that is an abomination to Him. Proverbs 6:16-19 says: "These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him"::
  1. A proud look,
  2. A lying tongue,
  3. Hands that shed innocent blood,
  4. A heart that devises wicked plans,
  5. Feet that are swift in running to evil,
  6. A false witness who speaks lies,
  7. And one who sows discord among brethren.”
What constitutes a lie according to the Bible? Anything that is not the truth is a lie in God's Word.

Inheriting The Wind Proverb 11:29

Troubling your own family is like tossing your money in the air and letting it blow away. A home is a place where we should all feel safe and secure. A place to get way from the troubles of the world. A place where the family can confide in each other and count on each other.

So many homes have become prisons people only wish to get out of. Everyone knows of friends or maybe even relatives who live in home environments that are not proper to raise children in. In those homes we can point to individuals who have thrown caution to the wind, by their destructive lifestyles.

Memories Of The Righteous Is Blessed Proverb 10:7

What will the epitaph on your cemetery marker say? What will those attending your funeral think or say? How many will come? Will there be great grief, or subdued relief? Will anyone reflect on your life ten years later? Will your memory be blessed or rotten?

David wept painfully, when Jonathan died (II Sam 1:17-27), for he remembered their wonderful friendship as better than the love of a woman (I Sam 18:1-4; 23:16). Dorcas was well remembered by many widows for good works and much charity (Acts 9:36-42).

Men remember Joseph as gloriously virtuous, Potiphar’s wife as an evil adulteress. They remember Tamar as a prudent virgin, Amnon as a profane dog. Men remember Paul as the greatest apostle, Demas as a weak loser. They remember Elijah and John as zealous heroes, Pilate and Agrippa as compromisers. Men remember Abraham as faithful, Lot as worldly. They remember Daniel the eunuch as strong, and strong Samson as weak.

Lady Wisdom vs Madame Folly of Proverb 9

In Today's Proverb, there are two female figures, Lady Wisdom and Madame Folly. You can accept the lesson as one that compares a wise woman of virtue as mentioned in Proverb 31 versus an immoral woman of folly who tears down her home with her actions, as in Proverb 14. Or as I will share with you today, it's a lesson of good versus evil. The right way to live versus the wrong way to live your life. Either way, it's very common for God to teach us different lessons from the same passage throughout the Scriptures. Today, my commentary will be on the contrast between the woman of wisdom, or the good, (Proverb 9:4-6) versus the woman of folly, the evil. (Proverb 9:16-18).

“The Ring Or Your Soul?” Choose Wisely Proverb 8:11

Men and women have been chasing the dream of wealth and fame from the beginning of time. The American dream was once based upon the understanding that fame and fortune comes through thrift and hard work. During the Colonial Period, Benjamin Franklin counseled people on the "The Way to Wealth." Poor Richard's Almanac", advised that "Early to Bed, and Early to Rise, Makes a Man Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise." Poor Richard insisted that the key to wealth was to be industrious, because that is what pay's the bills and thus makes one's life easier.

Sadly, in today's modern world the understanding is that one can get rich and famous instantly by winning the lottery, hitting the jackpot at the local casino, writing and singing the song that makes the young girls cry, getting a reality TV show, going to Hollywood to get recognized, or just winning a lawsuit over a spilled cup of hot coffee. The idea isn't new, getting rich that is, just the understanding of how to reach that goal is.

Odd Laws You Never Knew Could Still Exist

Local and state laws are ever changing and it's almost impossible to keep up with tens of thousands of new laws placed in the books by both our glorious leaders and ballot initiatives across this once great country. In California alone the State lawmakers passed 900 new laws that took effect in January of 2017. This after passing 930 new laws that took effect in January of 2016, and over 1000 in January 2015. So in a three year period the State of California has added 2830 new laws that we must abide by, and only God knows how many city and county laws were passed in that two year period.

Be Wise & Don't Co-sign For Others Proverb 6:1-5

One of the most idiotic things anyone can do is to co-sign for a loan. Regardless of who you are helping, the statistics prove that the co-signer ends up paying the loan off over 50% of the time. Consider the reason one would ask you to co-sign for them. They know you will pay the loan off if they cannot, and their track record proves they either don't pay off their debt, or they never had a loan before.

The Scripture I have chosen to comment on today's Proverb, are verses 1-5.
My son, if you become surety for your friend,
If you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger,
You are snared by the words of your mouth;
You are taken by the words of your mouth.
So do this, my son, and deliver yourself;
For you have come into the hand of your friend:
Go and humble yourself;
Plead with your friend.
Give no sleep to your eyes,
Nor slumber to your eyelids.
Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter,
And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.
Proverb 6:1-5

The Penalty For Sexual Immorality Proverbs 5:11

Now more than at anytime in our society, we have rejected God’s moral standard and the result is an epidemic of sexually transmitted diseases and infections.

With the push for women to be equal with men, and for children to explore their sexual desires with whom ever they so desire, we have now taken all segments of our societies down the dark path of sexual immorality that men have practiced for millenniums. Is it any wonder that diseases which were once on the decline are now at record levels, with women and children both being effected the most. In 2014 the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported the staggering results of the leftist push for the, "Love who your with" ideology from k-College in our education system.
Reported cases of three nationally notifiable STDs – chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis – have increased according to data published by the (CDC) in the 2014 STD Surveillance Report. The approximately 1.4 million reported cases of chlamydia, a rate of 456.1 cases per 100,000 population, is up 2.8 percent. Rates of primary and secondary (P&S) syphilis – the most infectious stages of syphilis –and gonorrhea have both increased by 15.1 percent.

Guard your heart From Sin, Proverb 4:23

Though the Old Testament book of Proverbs contains God's wisdom for people of all age groups, it is uniquely a book for young people. I believe God's Spirit led King Solomon to write and record these wise bits of instruction to help youth avoid the sort of mistakes and moral failures that will rob them of joy and well-being as adults. Today's commentary on verse Proverb 4:23, comes from Bethany Bible Church
Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.

God Is In Control, Proverb 3:5-6

So many times we all wish we had a gift to peer into the future. All men desire that gift so they can live their life accordingly. They want to be able to avoid the pitfalls, and get right to the great things that will happen. They desire the gift so they will make the right choice.

Well, we have that gift, it comes from God. A gift all born again Christians get when they accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. It's the gift of discernment, and all we need to take advantage of that gift is to put our faith in Christ to do for us that which  He promises. Now if He gave us a gift to see the future outright, then He would not expect us to live by faith. We need to have faith that God will direct our path. Today's chosen Scripture from Proverb 3 verses 5 & 6,
Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Proverb 3:5-6

The Value Of Wisdom Proverbs 2:4-6

The faith to believe the scriptures is within each and every human being. However, God’s wisdom must be believed by faith. Once it is believed and received by faith, a whole new world of our God is open to us. Jesus comes into our spirit and changes us, and that is when we begin our journey in the development of a relationship with our heavenly Father. It is then that the scriptures become a "treasure of good sense".

When you become a born again Christian, the treasure of God is opened unto you. All the treasures of His mind ore now available for you to use. Like a treasure hunter who is searching for treasures, once you find it, you cease to be a hunter, and you begin your journey as a collector of that which you found. When you find Christ, you begin your journey of collecting His treasure of knowledge, which is, "The mind of God." 1 Corinthians 1:30

Why Read A Proverb Every Day? Proverb 1

Many have asked me why I put so much importance in the book of Proverbs.

Well, first of all, I believe that too many people lack the proper wisdom to see past all the confusion Satan has placed before their eyes. So I want to help others to see the truth by giving the tool best suited for the job. And what better tool can one use than the one the Apostle Paul tells is the Wisdom of God. 1Corinthians 1:26-30

What better way to understand the Wisdom of God, than to repeatedly read the book He gave us that fully describes His Wisdom? Don't get me wrong, you should be reading the whole Bible, but no other book fits so perfectly in the Month of our lives like the book of Proverbs.
For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God--and righteousness and sanctification and redemption-- that, as it is written, "He who glories, let him glory in the LORD."

What Happened to The Virtuous Woman? Proverbs 31:10-31

Many women believe that their charm and beauty is what makes them the person who they are, yet as the proverb tells us,
Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised
Peter tells women;
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes--
rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

Deprive Me Not, Proverb 30:7-9

These are some of my favorite verses in the Bible. Of the words of wisdom, they are the ones I utter in my prayers the most. As we all do I'm sure, I often time pray for lies and deceit to be far from my lips, and heart, but so few consider the trappings of fame and fortune. A cursory look at Hollywood to see what fame and fortune can do to ones life. Remember that sweet little girl who sang beautiful songs with her father? Yes, the one who turned out to be just another harlot of Satan. I speak of course of Miley Cyrus.

Just a reminder that Memorial Day isn't just another day off work

As the days and years pass on, our freedom never will because of them.

They shall not grow old, but we will because of them

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn them.

They may be gone, but never the memory of them .....

Do You Need A Spiritual Vision Test? Proverb 29:18

This proverb should be understood to mean that when there is no special revelation, people cast off moral restraints; however, when people obey God’s word, they are blessed: “Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction”. This verse has tremendous theological and practical significance for us. Just as there was a direct correlation in the Old Testament between Israel’s moral condition and their knowing and submitting to God’s special revelation, so there is a direct correlation between our moral state and our knowing and submitting to God’s special revelation, the Bible.

Happy Is He Who Keeps the Law

01 He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck,
00 Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

02 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;
00 But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.

03 Whoever loves wisdom makes his father rejoice,
00 But a companion of harlots wastes his wealth.

04 The king establishes the land by justice,
00 But he who receives bribes overthrows it.

Proverb 28

Proverb 28 (NKJV)

The Righteous Are Bold as a Lion

01 The wicked flee when no one pursues,
00But the righteous are bold as a lion.

02 Because of the transgression of a land, many are its princes;
00But by a man of understanding and knowledge
00Right will be prolonged.

03 A poor man who oppresses the poor
00Is like a driving rain which leaves no food.

04 Those who forsake the law praise the wicked,
00But such as keep the law contend with them.

Never Boast About Tomorrow, Proverb 27:1

Proverb 27 (NKJV)

My Son, Be Wise

01 Do not boast about tomorrow,
00 For you do not know what a day may bring forth.

02 Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth;
00 A stranger, and not your own lips.

03 A stone is heavy and sand is weighty,
00 But a fool's wrath is heavier than both of them.

04 Wrath is cruel and anger a torrent,
00 But who is able to stand before jealousy?

A Dream That Moved Me To Say Enough Is Enough, The Status Quo Must End, NOW!

By February 1854, the anti-slavery Whigs had begun meeting in upper Midwestern states to discuss the formation of a new party. One meeting, in Wisconsin on March 20, 1854, is generally remembered as the founding meeting of the Republican Party. The Republican party began as a response to the immoral outrage against slavery.

Today we face a different form of slavery, yet one as dangerous as the one faced in 1854, maybe even more dangerous. All Americans will one day be slaves to a government that controls every aspect of out lives. How? Via a one payer healthcare system. We were betrayed by Chief Justice John Roberts, and I believe we will see him again betray us again one day. We are also witnessing the party began to stop slavery, willingly colluding with the original slave party, the Democrat party, to enslave us all.

Answering A Fool, Proverb 26:4-5

I found this on article on's website, which was written by David Catchpoole. It's about a real life experience he had on a flight from Darwin Australia to Brisbane, when he had the chance to question, a fools belief system. It is such a great example of what Solomon meant with one of the most confusing Proverbs in the book, "Proverbs 28:4-5." Along with making sense of the Proverb, it's also a great example of how to reach without insulting a Darwinist.

Wear The Armor, So You Don't Falter--Proverb 25:26

Proverb 25 (NKJV)

Rule Your Spirit

01 These also are proverbs of Solomon which the men of Hezekiah king of
00 Judah copied:

02 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
00 But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

03 As the heavens for height and the earth for depth,
00 So the heart of kings is unsearchable.

Putting The Cart Before The Horse Proverb 24:27

Do Not Envy Evil Men

01 Do not be envious of evil men,
00 Nor desire to be with them;
02 For their heart devises violence,
00 And their lips talk of troublemaking.

03 Through wisdom a house is built,
00 And by understanding it is established;
04 By knowledge the rooms are filled
00 With all precious and pleasant riches.

05 A wise man is strong,
00 Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength;
06 For by wise counsel you will wage your own war,
00 And in a multitude of counselors there is safety.

07 Wisdom is too lofty for a fool;
00 He does not open his mouth in the gate.

08 He who plots to do evil
00 Will be called a schemer.
09 The devising of foolishness is sin,
00 And the scoffer is an abomination to men.
10 If you faint in the day of adversity,
00 Your strength is small.
11 Deliver those who are drawn toward death,
00 And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.
12 If you say, "Surely we did not know this,"
00 Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it?
00 He who keeps your soul, does He not know it?
00 And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?

13 My son, eat honey because it is good,
00 And the honeycomb which is sweet to your taste;
14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul;
00 If you have found it, there is a prospect,
00 And your hope will not be cut off.

15 Do not lie in wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous;
00 Do not plunder his resting place;
16 For a righteous man may fall seven times
00 And rise again,
00 But the wicked shall fall by calamity.

17 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,
00 And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;
18 Lest the LORD see it, and it displease Him,
00 And He turn away His wrath from him.

19 Do not fret because of evildoers,
00 Nor be envious of the wicked;
20 For there will be no prospect for the evil man;
00 The lamp of the wicked will be put out.

21 My son, fear the LORD and the king;
00 Do not associate with those given to change;
22 For their calamity will rise suddenly,
00 And who knows the ruin those two can bring?

Further Sayings of the Wise
23 These things also belong to the wise:
00 It is not good to show partiality in judgment.
24 He who says to the wicked, "You are righteous,"
00 Him the people will curse;
00 Nations will abhor him.
25 But those who rebuke the wicked will have delight,
00 And a good blessing will come upon them.

26 He who gives a right answer kisses the lips.

27 Prepare your outside work,
00Make it fit for yourself in the field;
00 And afterward build your house.

28 Do not be a witness against your neighbor without cause,
00 For would you deceive with your lips?
29 Do not say, "I will do to him just as he has done to me;
00 I will render to the man according to his work."

30 I went by the field of the lazy man,
00 And by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding;
31 And there it was, all overgrown with thorns;
00 Its surface was covered with nettles;
00 Its stone wall was broken down.
32 When I saw it, I considered it well;
00 I looked on it and received instruction:
33 A little sleep, a little slumber,
00 A little folding of the hands to rest;
34 So shall your poverty come like a prowler,
00 And your need like an armed man.

In today's world, so many people have put the cart before the horse, because all their priorities are out of wack. This simple little proverb by Solomon is direct and to the point.
Prepare your outside work,
Make it fit for yourself in the field;
And afterward build your house.
Proverb 24:27
Simply put, God tells us to put the priority of our needs ahead of our desires. This should be understood and taken into consideration of the times Solomon lived. Israel was an agriculture society, and men worked the fields and grew their own crops. Thus the admonition to care for that which would care for your families direct needs. Plow the fields and plant the crops before caring for the building of the home.

Living in a tent was good enough until you had sufficiently gained the means to properly build a good home. What good are the desires of life if food is not available to feed the family and the funds are not available to build a proper home. In today's world you can equate the tent with renting an apartment, thus you care for your family by getting a job to feed them and care for the needs you can afford. When you have sufficient money, or credit for a home, then you build it.

Things are so out of wack today that we are moving in before we even get married. More time than not there are even children to care for before there are sufficient funds to properly care for them. Thus the high expense of caring for a family is so far out of reach that many never get to the point of building a home. They end up being wards of the state as the tax payers pick up their slack. Like the Dolphins who lost their need to feed themselves, so too are so many Americans living in perpetual poverty from generation to generation because they never headed this simple proverb.

Look at the mess so many got themselves into during the housing crash. People were getting loans from banks for homes they could not afford, and so many ended up losing what investment they had by walking away from the home. Often times at the bank’s suggestion. Frankly, it's because they were convinced by so many others who had what they could not afford that they followed suit. One after the other followed stupid. Instead of paying attention to the wise men who understood it was a bad idea to go into debt beyond their means. They knew that living in the apartment was the right thing to do for heir family instead of extending themselves beyond their future your means.

This principle is not limited to work and housing? The application should go much deeper into our thinking and our behavior. We should always work and care for what we need and when we are ready then purchase the things we can afford. Even after so many lost so much, they then turned around and again got credit cards they cannot afford. Many Americans have more than ten credit cards in their wallets that are maxed out because they simply will not wait.

Notice the Proverb does not condemn the building of the house, it simply puts it in order. There is a time to build the house, and their is a time to wait. That is the message for us and frankly for the crowd that wants others to provide for their needs, which are really wants rather than working themselves. Having the nicer things of life should come after they are earned. There is nothing wrong with building the house but do the work first. Be sure to put the horse before the cart, or your journey through life is going to be very chaotic.
The purpose of Writing the book of Proverbs was to reveal the mind of God in matters high and lofty and in common, ordinary, everyday situations. It appears that no topic escaped King Solomon's attention. Matters pertaining to personal conduct, sexual relations, business, wealth, charity, ambition, discipline, debt, child-rearing, character, alcohol, politics, revenge, and Godliness are among the many topics covered in this rich collection of wise sayings.

Without wisdom, knowledge is nothing more than an accumulation of raw facts, influenced by emotional feelings. Many highly educated people are in positions of power in the United States, but very few of those educated leaders have the wisdom needed to rule properly.

One can say that they have been educated well beyond their intelligence. A cursory look at the court system will prove my point that knowledge without wisdom will only lead to an immoral society that eventually crumbles from within. Judges are supposed to be above the fray, and immovable to emotions. Instead, the vast majority of judges today are Godless individuals who are vacant of wisdom. So their rulings are totally based upon emotional feelings.

We the people are to blame, because we ignored God's guidance in appointing our leaders. Instead of putting leaders full wisdom in power, we instead chose those who would scratch our itchy ears to lead us.

Of the 31 Proverbs, only the first 24 were written by Solomon. King Hezekiah wrote 5, Proverbs 25 to 29, Agur wrote Proverb 30, and Lemuel wrote Proverb 31. Now many believe Lemuel was in fact King Solomon and Lemuel was just a nick name his Mother, Bathsheba gave him. We are told that Solomon write over 3000 Proverbs and composed 1000 songs, but the only Proverbs God decided to preserve for us are Proverbs 1-24. Like the New Testament epistle by James, it is impossible to get a chronological outline for a study since they all bounce from subject to subject.

Along with my daily routine of reading the Bible, I try to read through the book of Proverbs once a Month. It's an easy task when you consider there are 31 Proverbs. So all you need to know is what day of the Month it is. In the Months that have 30 days, or in the case of February, I just double up by reading more than one two proverb so I can begin the next month with Proverb 1 on the first again.

Never Envy The Sinners Life, Proverb 23:17

Listen to Your Father

01 When you sit down to eat with a ruler,
00 Consider carefully what is before you;
02 And put a knife to your throat
00 If you are a man given to appetite.
03 Do not desire his delicacies,
00 For they are deceptive food.

04 Do not overwork to be rich;
00 Because of your own understanding, cease!
05 Will you set your eyes on that which is not?
00 For riches certainly make themselves wings;
00 They fly away like an eagle toward heaven.

Be God's Representative To Your Children Proverb 22:6

We all learn from our parents, as do our children learn from us, as to how we should live our lives. It's just a matter of what example we as parents want our children to learn from. If parents live lives as we should, then we and our children will learn to live the same. If a parent cusses, cheats, do drugs, complains all the time, or never works. Well the chances are the children will do the same.

Throughout my life I have seen many who learned early that God is real, and Christ is the way to Him. Many like myself, fell away and lived a part of my life self indulging my own selfish desires. Eventually those who do as I did, will pay the price. It's just a matter of how far one goes down the wrong path before we cry for the One we know will save us. We know Who that one is, because of our early years when our parents taught us about Him. Then when we come home we are accepted as if we never left.

The Apostle John tells us in his Gospel that is Who God God is. A forgiving Father who gave His only Son so that we can be free from sin and condemnation.

The War Horse of Proverb 21:31

"The Strength of the Horse in Battle"

In Shakespeare's “Richard III”, the King Richard III is felled from his horse:
Rescue, my Lord of Norfolk, rescue, rescue!
The king enacts more wonders than a man,
Daring an opposite to every danger:
His horse is slain, and all on foot he fights,
Seeking for Richmond in the throat of death.
Rescue, fair lord, or else the day is lost!
The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is his name. br>
A horse! a horse! my kingdom for a horse!

Withdraw, my lord; I'll help you to a horse.

Slave! I have set my life upon a cast,
And I will stand the hazard of the die.”

(Shakespeare, The Tragedy of King Richard III, Act V, Scene IV).
I'll come back to this, but notice the urgency of the situation: the King's horse has been slain, and now Richard is highly vulnerable and unable to withdraw quickly. The immediate thought that comes to mind when we hear “my kingdom for a horse” is that fear has driven the king to beg. This couldn't be farther from the truth. It is rather, it is that my kingdom falters for lack of a horse, since his next statement is one of distain at the offer to withdraw to find a horse. I believe the phrase “The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is his name,” which we will see it again shortly, is a prayer of sorts, making the comparison to the king and divine providence.

Which, If Any Is Brutus? "Proverbs 20:19"

"Et tu, Brute"
When a man surrounds himself with those he has chosen to run the country with, these people must be of the highest character. If they are not, then secrets and lies will be spread about like the dew of the morning. Donald Trump has the task of righting a ship that has been floundering for much too long, and those he chose to help him with this task are all pictured in the image I used to match my chosen Proverb for the day.

The question we need to know, and more importantly President Trump needs to know, is which if any are involved in stabbing him in the back. Caesar was stabbed in the back by his closest Allie in the Senate, Brutus. So who is The Donald's Brutus? They may not be physically stabbing him in the back, but whoever it is is stabbing Trump in the back just the same.

The religion Of Global Warming/Climate Change

For those who do not understand the blind loyalty of people who follow people like Al Gore and their Global Warming crusades, you must understand that to them it is nothing short of a religious belief.

That’s right; Global Warming is a religion whose god is Mother Earth. For Al Gore and other politicians, it’s just another means to control the masses, but the religious aspect of Global Warming is ultimately how they are able to convince so many people that it truly does exist and man is responsible for creating it.

To really explain what it is I mean, I need to first define the term religion. Then I can show you how Global Warming fills all the needed requirements of a religion. To begin with, not all religions refer to God or gods. They do not all base their systems upon morals or some belief in an afterlife. Also, not all religious followers can properly explain exactly what it is they believe. The groups, practices and systems that we identify as religions are so diverse that it is no easy task to bring them all under one simple definition.

What Are You Willing To Sacrifice?

Are you living a safe and comfortable life? Then maybe you are not doing enough, because carrying your cross should be a difficult thing to do. It was for Him, and he did anyway.

Tertullian said that The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church. Yet today I see the church in America dieing a slow death due to the fact that the Saints in America like their blood too much to offer it as a sacrifice for Christ and His church today.

Proverb 14 The Wise Mother

The Ways of Life and Death

01 The wise woman builds her house,
00 But the foolish pulls it down with her hands.

02 He who walks in his uprightness fears the LORD,
00 But he who is perverse in his ways despises Him.
03 In the mouth of a fool is a rod of pride,
00 But the lips of the wise will preserve them.
04 Where no oxen are, the trough is clean;
00 But much increase comes by the strength of an ox.
05 A faithful witness does not lie,
00 But a false witness will utter lies.

Laziness Is Destructive, Proverbs 13

Wisdom Loves Righteousness

01 A wise son heeds his father's instruction,
00 But a scoffer does not listen to rebuke.

02 A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth,
00 But the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence.
03 He who guards his mouth preserves his life,
00 But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.

04 The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing;
00 But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.

The Crafty Harlot, Proverb 7

Proverb 7 (NKJV)

The Wiles of a Harlot

01 My son, keep my words,
00 And treasure my commands within you.
02 Keep my commands and live,
00 And my law as the apple of your eye.
03 Bind them on your fingers;
00 Write them on the tablet of your heart.
04 Say to wisdom, "You are my sister,";
00 And call understanding your nearest kin,
05 That they may keep you from the immoral woman,
00 From the seductress who flatters with her words.

The Crafty Harlot

06 For at the window of my house
00 I looked through my lattice,
07 And saw among the simple,
00 I perceived among the youths,
00 A young man devoid of understanding,
08 Passing along the street near her corner;
00 And he took the path to her house
09 In the twilight, in the evening,
00 In the black and dark night.

Seven Things God Hates About Wicked Men (Proverbs 6)

Proverb 6 (NKJV)

Dangerous Promises

Seven Deadly Sins

01 My son, if you become surety for your friend,
00 If you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger,
02 You are snared by the words of your mouth;
00 You are taken by the words of your mouth.
03 So do this, my son, and deliver yourself;
00 For you have come into the hand of your friend:
00 Go and humble yourself;
00 Plead with your friend.
04 Give no sleep to your eyes,
00 Nor slumber to your eyelids.
05 Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter,
00 And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.

Warning Against Immorality (Proverbs 5)

The Peril of Adultery

Warning Against Immorality

01 My son, pay attention to my wisdom;
00 Lend your ear to my understanding,
02 That you may preserve discretion,
00 And your lips may keep knowledge.
03 For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey,
00 And her mouth is smoother than oil;
04 But in the end she is bitter as wormwood,
00 Sharp as a two-edged sword.
05 Her feet go down to death,
00 Her steps lay hold of hell.
06 Lest you ponder her path of life--
00 Her ways are unstable;
00 You do not know them.

A Father To Son Talk, Proverb 4

Proverb 4 (NKJV)

Security in Wisdom

01 Hear, my children, the instruction of a father,
00 And give attention to know understanding;
02 For I give you good doctrine:
00 Do not forsake my law.
03 When I was my father's son,
00 Tender and the only one in the sight of my mother,
04 He also taught me, and said to me:
00 "Let your heart retain my words;
00 Keep my commands, and live.
05 Get wisdom! Get understanding!
00 Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.
06 Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you;
00 Love her, and she will keep you.
07 Wisdom is the principal thing;
00 Therefore get wisdom.
00 And in all your getting, get understanding.
08 Exalt her, and she will promote you;
00 She will bring you honor, when you embrace her.
09 She will place on your head an ornament of grace;
00 A crown of glory she will deliver to you."

Proverb 3 Honor The Lord With Your Blessings

Proverb 3 (NKJV)

Guidance for the Young

01 My son, do not forget my law,
00 But let your heart keep my commands;
02 For length of days and long life
00 And peace they will add to you.

03 Let not mercy and truth forsake you;
00 Bind them around your neck,
00 Write them on the tablet of your heart,
04 And so find favor and high esteem
00 In the sight of God and man.

Search For Wisdom As You Do For Treasures, Proverb 2

Proverb 2 (NKJV)

The Value of Wisdom

01 My son, if you receive my words,
00 And treasure my commands within you,
02 So that you incline your ear to wisdom,
00 And apply your heart to understanding;
03 Yes, if you cry out for discernment,
00 And lift up your voice for understanding,
04 If you seek her as silver,
00 And search for her as for hidden treasures;
05 Then you will understand the fear of the LORD,
00 And find the knowledge of God.
06 For the LORD gives wisdom;
00 From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;
07 He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
00 He is a shield to those who walk uprightly;
08 He guards the paths of justice,
00 And preserves the way of His saints.
09 Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
00 Equity and every good path.

Proverb 1, The Call Of Wisdom

Proverb 1 (NKJV)

The Beginning of Knowledge

01 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:

02 To know wisdom and instruction,
00 To perceive the words of understanding,
03 To receive the instruction of wisdom,
00 Justice, judgment, and equity;
04 To give prudence to the simple,
00 To the young man knowledge and discretion--
05 A wise man will hear and increase learning,
00 And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel,
06 To understand a proverb and an enigma,
00 The words of the wise and their riddles.

Do Not Dishonor Your Parents -- Proverbs 30:17

Proverbs 30 is loaded with nuggets. One could write a whole book on the advice and wisdom packed in these 33 verses. Today I offer you Matthew Henry's take on verse 17.
Those that despise to obey them, that think it a thing below them to be dutiful to their parents, especially to the mother, they scorn to be controlled by her; and thus she that bore them in sorrow in greater sorrow bears their manners.

What their doom will be. Those that dishonor their parents shall be set up as monuments of God’s vengeance; they shall be hanged in chains, as it were, for the birds of prey to pick out their eyes, those eyes with which they looked so scornfully on their good parents. The dead bodies of malefactors were not to hang all night, but before night the ravens would have picked out their eyes. If men do not punish undutiful children, God will, and will load those with the greatest infamy that conduct themselves haughtily towards their parents. Many who have come to an ignominious end have owned that the wicked courses that brought them to it began in a contempt of their parents’ authority.

Reporter Says The OK Sign Is Now, "A White Supremacist Racist Sign"

For the vast number of Americans, we believe that the MSM died a long time ago. Today all that is left is a Communist propaganda machine that is a mouth piece of the Democrat Party. The MSM is so pissed that their Messiah Hillary Clinton got her butt kicked, that they have to make up reasons to excuse their hate for the right.

Proverbs 29; Happy Is He Who Keeps the Law

Proverb A Day, Proverb 28

“The hole,” known to the world as the “spider hole,” is the tiny underground bunker on Namiq’s
 farm where former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein was captured by U.S. soldiers on Dec. 13, 2003.

Proverbs 28

The Righteous Are Bold as a Lion

01 The wicked flee when no one pursues,
00But the righteous are bold as a lion.

02 Because of the transgression of a land, many are its princes;
00But by a man of understanding and knowledge
00Right will be prolonged.

03 A poor man who oppresses the poor
00Is like a driving rain which leaves no food.

Evil Comes In Beautiful Packages

 Do not be lulled by Hollywood’s depiction of it and don’t be fooled if you unfortunately meet up with this kind of beautiful and deadly evil. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, keep forever vigilant that you do not get fooled by Satan.

What Are You Addicted To?

by Chuck Ness
Every human has been hot wired with a special faith component to our souls, even agnostics and atheists have faith in what they believe. Another way to explain this would be to say we have all been created with an addiction gene. It's that ever yearning desire to find something that will make us feel like we belong, or comfortable in our own skin if you will.

From the moment we become conscious of our self, we begin searching for that One Thing our soul craves. For each of us it could be a different point in life. Some find it when they are 10, some at 14, and yet others may take years before they find it, even into their 90s or on their deathbed. Sadly, most humans never find it until it's much, much too late. However, each and everyone of us are in search of it, even though we don't realize it.

Leftis Democrat Supported By Hollywood & Soros's Millions

Jon Ossoff: The Truth Strikes Back

This is the leftist Democrat Jon Ossoff, who will make it to a runoff in the special election to fill Tom Price's 6th Congressional District seat in Ga. Why? Because it takes 50% or more to avoid a runoff, and with 6 Republicans splitting all the votes I guarantee you that no Republican can get enough of the 60% of registered Republican vote that lives in the District.

Tom Price was picked by Trump to be his Health and Human Services Secretary, and the Democrats are spending millions to win this seat. The he will get in the runoff will be maybe 39% when it comes down to him against the one Republican who survives the blood letting.

This seat has been a strong Republican district since the early "70"s, and was also Newt Gingrich's seat when he was the Speaker of the House in the "90"s.

A bit about this Democrat;
